Dear All,

Milton Road (MRRA) Residents, supported by Hurst Park Residents and a
number of other North Cambridge RA's have asked me to draw your attention
to the public meeting on the

* City Deal Plans for Milton and Histon Roads.Thursday 21 January 2016, 7
pm, at Chesterton Community College, Gilbert Road CB4 3NY (Rex Freeman
Hall). *Speakers presenting alternative transport ideas include:*Edward
Leigh, Smarter Transport for Cambridge *and* Martin Lucas Smith, Cambridge
Cycling Campaign. Councillor Ian Manning *will speak on* trialling schemes.
Claire Ruskin (Cambridge Network) *will answer questions on the needs of
the

* business community. *
MRRA's concerns: loss of trees, verges, new bus lanes, the effects of
rat-running in residential roads if roads are closed off - may be of
interest regarding other CD schemes.
Queen Edith's residents have drawn FeCRA's attention to rat-running as a
likely impact of the proposed banning of the left turn into Queen Edith's
Way currently under consultation with the Cross City Cycling Plan for Hills
Rd and Addenbrookes. Plans in the pipeline for the Eastern Orbital Bus
Route affecting Fendon, Mowbray,Perne and Brook's Roads may give rise to
similar concerns.
