Dear all,

*Update 2 April, 2020*

*Covid-19 Coordination Hub – working with communities*

The public sector has set up a Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Covid-19
Coordination Hub
<https://www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/residents/coronavirus/covid-19-coordination-hub-your-community-needs-you>
to work alongside community groups who are responding to the situation, and
to provide help where there are gaps. They say it would be useful to have
details of residents associations offering Covid-19 support so that they
can co-ordinate requests for support that come into the Hub. The Hub is
co-ordinating with the NHS to avoid overlap. The information needs to be as
simple as possible, one set of contact details that the public can use to
reach you, stating clearly the specific street/area covered. Link below

*Cambridge Market *

We have been asked to share this from the Market Traders (via Karen,
Madingley Road RA, 31 March). The Market is open and needs support. There
will be further updates.

*“When I went to the market this morning, the traders asked me to pass on
the message that they were open for business as usual. Most were accepting
contactless payments. There were no crowds and most people were very good
about respecting distances. And there is plenty of room to move away from
those who do not! There are at least three fruit and veg stalls Tuesday to
Saturday and generally one on Monday. *

*Remote committee meetings for English councils*

The regulations on remote committee meetings for English councils (and
police and crime panels) have now been published. See links below

https://www.cfps.org.uk/remote-working-regulations-published/

https://www.localgovernmentlawyer.co.uk/governance/396-governance-news/43254-government-issues-regulations-giving-local-authorities-flexibility-on-conduct-of-meetings-including-remote-attendance-by-members

There are logistical problems ‘How to ensure that the processes are in
place to transact meetings – in terms of deciding what platform to use,
making arrangements for the exclusion of press and public for confidential
items, for the sharing of agendas and information in what will be a
paperless environment. How to manage voting, and the recording of
resolutions and minutes?’
