More Consultations from City Deal, just in time for the summer holidays!

 

This one is to do with the A1307 corridor coming into Cambridge at
Addenbrooke's, possibly dissecting the Gogs and Magogs. The questionnaire is
light on getting the opinions of residents and communities who live along
the route emphasising largely its utilitarian purpose as a highway to move
people. Beware! SEE EMAIL BELOW FROM CITY DEAL.

 

I apologise in advance that the emails will be coming in more frequently,
reflecting a new spate of consultations and applications. Remember there's
not only the City Deal but also the Hearings of the Local Plan, and the
developers knocking on the door, constantly.

City Deal: A1307, Three Campuses to Cambridge - Initial Ideas for bus and
cycle links 

 

The Greater Cambridge City Deal is working to improve travel for people
across the city region. We welcome your views on initial ideas for bus and
cycle improvements in the A1307 area.

 

A consultation on improving bus travel and cycling and walking links in and
around the A1307 starts today and runs until Monday 1 August 2016.

 

Various initial ideas have been developed by consultants Parsons |
Brinckerhoff to improve sustainable travel and access to Granta Park,
Babraham Research Campus as, Addenbrooke's and the Cambridge Biomedical
Campus.

 

These initial ideas include:

.             Babraham Road Park and Ride Expansion

.             A new A11 Park & Ride

.             Linton Bus Priority

.             On highway and off highway ideas for linking Granta Park,
Babraham Research Campus, Addenbrooke's and Cambridge Biomedical Campus via
a new A11 Park & Ride

.             Cycling and walking links connecting villages along the A1307.

 

Residents along the A1307 and in the immediate area will receive the leaflet
and questionnaire through their doors. We will also be publicising the
consultation widely through social media, in the press and via outdoor
advertising posters and community centres amongst other outlets.
