Dear All,

You might like to read FeCRA's submission on the Historic Core Appraisal
(attached). The value of that historic core as a unique national and local
asset, central to placemaking is relevant to Romsey Town Square's
Consultation. We will shortly give you the link for the Romsey survey. As
Allan Brigham (EMRAG)  points out the consultation should not be seen as
being just about bike racks and tree grills but *'*about bringing the much
vaunted quality of the city centre into local neighbourhoods'. The City
Council plans for Romsey Town Square 'look like it could be on any inner
city arterial road in the UK. It does not say "Romsey" or "Cambridge". That
last comment may strike a chord with some of you
